The 6th Man Sports 2013 MLK Tournament of Champions was a great one. We had over 90 TEAMS of the east coasts best teams participating making this one of the most competitive tournaments in the metropolitan area. Each Team is responsible of being at the gym at least 30 minutes before their scheduled game. There will be no grace period allowed for any games. There will only be a 5 minute warm up time before the game and 2 minutes at halftime.
(4) 30 sec Timeouts per game. One Timeout in Overtime
The 28.5 official game basketball size for 9u, 10u, 11u, & 12u
The 29.5 official game basketball size for 13u, 14u & 15u
Each team must have a Home & Away jersey (light and dark).
If a team is ahead by 20 points or more in the contest the game will result in a running clock. If the lead drops below 20 points normal rules (stopped clock) will resume.
Each team will be given 5 minutes to warm up before each game. Each team is responsible for their warm up game ball. Home team is responsible for supplying the game ball. Each team is responsible for cleaning the bench area after the game has ended.
Any player ejected from a game will be suspended the very next game. Any player involved in or ejected for fighting will be suspended the remainder of the tournament.
All teams must have birth certificates for each player on their roster in case of a challenge. Each team will be allowed unlimited grade exceptions. Grade Exceptions must have paperwork & report cards. AAU Rules are enforced in terms of age.
A protest of a particular player must be made before the start of the game. Teams must submit a protest fee of $100. The protesting teams $100 will be refunded if the protest is upheld and forfeited if the protest is not upheld. Teams being protested must produce a legal birth certificate and a current year report card on the spot. Failure to produce both documents will result in an automatic player disqualification from the tournament.
NOTE: No player may be allowed to play on two separtate teams/organization and participate in the same event. A player that plays on two teams within the same organization can only play up in another age division. A player that plays on the two teams for the same organization (within the same age group) is not allowed.

3. Point System (Margin Of Victory…plus/minus)- Any team winning by more than 15 points will only be rewarded 15 points for the victory. So if your team wins by 22 points you still will be rewarded only 15 points.

Attention: Any team that doesn't complete the tournament including 3rd Place games will be subject to be omitted from future 6th Man Sports Events.
